PADRONGIANUS RIVER PARK

The Padrongianus River Park is a beautiful natural attraction in the close vicinity of Olbia, a few km from the airport. It covers an area of about 33 hectares and includes a large stretch of the namesake river. The area corresponding to the current Padrongianus park, and more generally the plain surrounding the river, has offered since Prehistoric times ideal living conditions for local human groups, as evidenced by the ruins of Nuraghe Torra. In Roman times, the plain crossed by the Padrongianus was used for agricultural exploitation, so much so that the name of the river derives from the LatinĀ pratum olbianum, with the meaning of "agrarian space of Olbia". The park, currently closed following the flood of 2013, gives the possibility of various activities such as boating, cycling and educational and recreational activities are often organized in the park facilities.

The park is not accessible to people with disabilities.
